Surya has personally trained, mentored and coached hundreds of professionals who are currently in senior leadership roles across Fortune 500 companies where they are making a difference. Companies include Bell Labs, Boeing, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, Sunovion, American Water, Verizon, MetLife, Macy’s, Hertz, US Navy, Ranbaxy, PayPal, CompuShare, BOA, McGraw Hill, Samsung, Aerotek, Jesco, TD Bank, T-Mobile, Pearson Education, LEO Pharma, Wisconsin Ordnance Works, Genesis II, Fujifilm, Prudential, PNC Bank, Deloitte, CSC, TEKsystems, Meridian Health and IBM.

In addition, Surya has served on six Boards. These include C-Vine Network, Camilywand LLC, Intune.Software, GigRonin, Poofdiapers LLC, and Mentors International Associates LLC, where he has provided expertise on strategic leadership and direction, governance, ethics and compensation. Surya also serves as Vice Chair, Board of Directors for C-Vine Network, where he previously held the role of Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of this multisite business/social Cloud-driven network that presents a comprehensive, secure IT platform for 16+ disparate business channels worldwide.

Prior to eMBC, Surya served as the Principal Consultant and Systems Delivery Manager, for Keane, now NTT Data LTD, a management consulting firm, where he coached clients; served as trainer and mentor on project management processes, methodologies and sharing of best practices, setting up two divisional PMOS at Abbott Labs. He has also served in Senior Program Manager and Senior Project Manager roles in Sears and Roebuck, now Sears Holdings, Sentry Insurance and Lucent Technologies which became Alcatel-Lucent S.A. and now Nokia Networks.

A multilingual leader, Surya served as a Research Faculty at SUNYA and the University of Michigan. He has travelled extensively throughout Indi, Canada, Japan, Greenland, and Antarctica, conducting experiments and collecting data, as well as being published extensively in refereed journals and peer magazines, often presenting research outcomes at workshops and international conferences.

Surya holds a PhD in Physics, an MSc in Physics and a BSc in Physics with minors in Math and Chemistry from Andhra University, and has done numerous Leadership and Change Management courses from George Washington University.

Surya also holds a Project Management Graduate Certification from Stevens Institute of Technology, as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from PMI.

A highly versatile leader, Surya’s background encompasses a wide diversity of activities and involvement that underscores Surya’s continued ability to serve as a trusted advisor and change management expert. Surya currently serves as Adjunct Faculty for The Rutgers School of Business providing industry expertise for Executive Education programs in project management, IT management and leadership. He also serves as a Radio Host for VoA Radio Network, now Quantum Leap Radio where he hosts a weekly radio show based on Quantum Physics of Beliefs. In addition, he is a member of the Trusted Advisors Network, a network of 200+ consultants and coaches who create customized solutions and partner with client organizations to help accelerate and grow profitable market advantages.

Surya firmly believes that it helps a great deal to learn from others who have been able to accomplish what appears to be impossible. So, he co-authored and co-edited a book - “Overcoming Obstacles” – a collection of 50 inspiring and uplifting stories from around the world as a self-help digest for people who may be overwhelmed with adversity. Surya is also the author of Quantum Leap, a monthly eNewsletter showcasing a variety of topics around leadership and personal development. He is also a PMO SIG Accord Author and Editor for the Project Management Institute (PMOSIG PMI), where he was a contributing author to PMO SIG's "Accord" project as part of a 140-person voluntary collection of Program Management Offices best practices (Accord) book published in 2008.
